Country Terminal Operations Manager
MAIN ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
MANAGEMENT
- Supervise the functioning of teams in all areas and providing them with the technical assistance they need.
- Manage production- Lead and coordinate the service teams for which he is responsible
- Guarantee the achievement of set objectives
- Control the provisional planning of activities
- Be responsible for organizing the human and material resources to be implemented
- Organize and lead meetings to determine the actions to be carried out, and circulate information upwards and downwards.
COMMERCIAL
- Direct and lead the commercial development action, ensure its monitoring
- Establish and control offers, prices, services, commercial strategy, activity report
- Initiate prospecting
- Contact customers according to the issues
- Optimize the cost price
HUMAN RESOURCES
- Ensure the proper execution and monitoring of the work of employees under his supervision
- Comply with the provisions of the applicable Labour legislation
- Ensure compliance with the rules regarding staff representatives
- Lead team meetings
- Ensure the maintenance of a good social climate and guarantee the application of the training plan
- Ensure the monitoring of training actions (initial and continuing), in compliance with the regulations applicable to the profession
- Build with the Mauritius/Seychelles HR department the hiring strategy and implement it
- Implement disciplinary sanction procedures in consultation with HR
- Organise welfare meetings with the HR to keep motivation level- Enforce disciplinary law and internal regulations
FINANCE
- Develop and monitor budgets (operation and investment)
- Monitor the management and accounting of the structure
- Being responsible for the overall economy: direct operating costs, monitoring and development of turnover
- Establish and respect the budget of the structure in investment and operation
PROCUREMENT
- Organize and validate orders for products necessary for the execution of services
- Respect the purchasing processes implemented within the Group
- Lead and coordinate relationships with external suppliers
- Monitor compliance with purchasing procedures by operational staff under his authority
SECURITY
- Lead the prevention policy in conjunction with the Group H&S manager, organize meetings with employees and subcontractors on subjects relating to health/safety.- Contribute to the animation, coordination and study of all actions relating to specific hygiene and safety requirements
- Inform and raise awareness among staff about safety
- Ensure the analysis of work accidents and working conditions
- Establish safety instructions
- Write the various documents necessary for the implementation of the Safety Insurance system
- Define and monitor safety actions in our various activities (audits)
QUALITY – AUDIT AND METHODS
- Ensure the maintenance and improvement of systems
- Define audit procedures in conjunction with the head of internal control
- Propose improvement solutions by planning the expected gains
- Ensure follow-up of recommended solutions
- Carry out a regular assessment of the actions undertaken
- Ensure the implementation of operating indicators
Managerial & Technical skills

Knowledge :
- Trained as an engineer or graduated from a business school.
- Having good technical and commercial mastery of our core businesses
- Having in-depth knowledge of the world of building, public works and construction materials is necessary.
- Very good analytical and management skills
