Sales Team Leader - Mauritius

Looking to shape the future of the building materials industry? CEMENTIS (Mauritius) which acquired the activities of Lafarge (Mauritius) seeks to recruit, develop and retain the best talents to continue the development of its Baobab brand on the island.

 

Your Role:

  • Assist the Commercial Manager and the Head of Sales in Sales strategy development;
  • Meet own targets and those of the whole sales team;
  • On time reporting (content & agreed format) to the Head of Sales;
  • Ability to manage and delegate responsibilities to the sales team with supervision;
  • Achieve sales targets cement as set by the Commercial Manager;
  • Relation Building – Create network of existing clients and build new clients;
  • Listen to customer requirements and present appropriately to negotiate/close deals and handling customer complaints;
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers via visits and phone;
  • Cold visits on sites with potential customers to prospect for new business;
  • Respond to incoming email and phone enquiries in a timely manner;
  • Act as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets;
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and road shows;
  • Negotiate on price, delivery and specifications with buyers under supervision of the Team Leader & the Head of Sales;
  • Advise on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions;
  • Record sales and order information;
  • Make accurate, rapid cost calculations and provide customers with quotations;
  • Responsible to manage credit allowed to customers in portfolio and accountable to collect payments; before due date + chase clients in case of delay in payments & inform the Credit Manager accordingly;
  • Daily check of Debtors Ageing online and track any delays dealing with and responding to high volumes of emails.
  • Conduct market research to identify business opportunities
  • Collaborate with team members to achieving better results

Your Profile:

  • Holder of a Diploma in Sales & Marketing
  • Minimum 2 years in sales field
  • Holder of a valid driver’s licence
