Challenges <\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/span>Under the responsibility of the Head of Finance, ensure good visibility of the company’s profitability and costs, in a context of ERP change by:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n- Assisting the management of the company and providing guidance for strategic decisions related to the company’s operations\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Defining\u00a0 strategic axes for the development of products\/services\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Ensuring accuracy of financial data\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Providing added value to operational staff through analyses and recommendations allowing them to identify areas for improvement in their scope of responsibilities.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Implementation appropriated procedures and controls aligned with CEMENTIS standards to ensure operations are compliant with business rules and legislation in each country.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Finality\u202f:<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n- Ensuring monthly financial reporting and analysis of operational performance<\/span><\/li>\n
- Ensuring the planning and development of budget\/forecast exercises\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Supporting operational staff and answering their requests\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Acting as finance key user for\u00a0 the new ERP implementation\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Coordinating\u00a0 the controlling department and activities\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Improve reporting processes and management tools <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Scope <\/strong><\/p>\nOperationnal entities attributed by the management, currently located in Mauritius,\u00a0 Seychelles and Comoros. The scope might change depending on strategic business decision, without being a breach of contract for the financial controller<\/span><\/b><\/p>\nDuties & Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\nPlanning of forecasting exercises<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n- Define the procedures for budget construction and have them applied by non-financial operational staff.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Collect, analyze and synthesize budget data from operational departments and profit centers.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Follow\u00a0 budget execution on a monthly basis\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Prepares forecasts and latest estimates;<\/span><\/li>\n
- Build the main financial statements over 3 or 5 years by projecting the company’s current results, the estimates for the current year and the strategic objectives defined by the general management. <\/span><\/li>\n
- Optimizes and manages all reporting and forecasting management tools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Data analysis and reporting<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n- Obtain and collect any information likely to affect the company’s results; translate it into financial elements.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Analyzes monthly and quarterly closings by studying the variances of the main KPIs with budget, previous year and objectives\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Provides specific insight into the decisions taken and to be taken, and gives guidance\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Proposes changes to the reporting system, procedures and reports for reliable and rapid analyses\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Carries out one-off financial studies at the request of the General Management, Finance or operational staff\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Prepare\/coordinate\u00a0 Monthly Business report presentation and analysis together with the GM and country Leadership Team<\/span><\/li>\n
- Participates in projects as a support function\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Identify areas for optimization and help line managers achieve cost savings.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Acts as an advisor to the General Management\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Is a force for proposals on improvements in the management of companies\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Supervision, control of accounting closings (Year -End and Month-End)<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n- Define month end closing checklist and follow-up in order to close monthly accounts in due time<\/span><\/li>\n
- Perform reconciliations between accounting statements and results from reports and dashboards.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Control and reconcile the inventory operations of goods and finished products.\u00a0Analyse any discrepancy<\/span><\/li>\n
- Provide the accounting department with the non-accounting elements to be included in the results for better compliance with the economic reality of the activity.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Controlling\u00a0 monthly reporting pack according to Group financial reporting calendar and explain variances;<\/span><\/li>\n
\n- Analysing financial information to assess and sort out anomalies;<\/span><\/li>\n
- Performing sensitivity\/feasibility analysis and assess impact on bottom-line;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
- Producing financial information to assist the Head of Finance in the preparation of Board Papers and in response to specific information requests from the Cementis Board and Annual General Meetings.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Internal Control, Management Procedures and Tools<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n- Develop and implement reporting tools for senior management.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Define the main orientations of the controls and indicators to be put in place, and the reporting framework for the general management.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Implement and improve procedures for managing and optimising financial information flows: guaranteeing their reliability.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Ensure compliance with procedures.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Participate in the implementation of the new ERP in the definition of information flows, the configuration of certain applications, the facilitation of project meetings concerning dashboards and financial information.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Anticipate abuses, carry out corrective actions.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Check that these corrective actions have the desired effects.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Identify areas for optimization and help line managers achieve cost savings.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n

\n- Undertake investigations regarding compliance to internal policies & procedures as instructed by the Head of Finance\u00a0and\/or Head of Internal Control<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n- Reporting any instances of non-adherence to specified policies and procedures;\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n- Maintaining up-to-date documentation regarding specified policies and procedures as instructed by the Head of Finance;\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Assisting the Head of Finance in undertaking internal audits, tests and controls.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
